An effective performance evaluation process recognizes and rewards excellent performance and addresses areas for improvement. The process should promote dialogue between the employee and supervisor, and should provide an opportunity to clarify individual departmental and institutional goals, revise individual job descriptions, emphasize areas of importance and identify new directions, improve individual performance and provide a basis for planning individual growth and development. The employee's immediate supervisor is responsible for providing evaluations for all full-time employees on an annual basis. The President is evaluated by the Board of Trustees.
