Hello everyone! My name is Gabby Ward, and I'm excited to be a part of the Upward Bound team! I came to CMU in 2021 and I graduated last December with a bachelor's degree in pure mathematics and statistics. I plan to get my master's degree in either statistics or biostatistics, but right now I am taking a break from school to work in industry.
In addition to tutoring for Upward Bound, I am currently working remotely for DataAnnotation as a math AI trainer. Although I eventually plan to pursue a different career, I love solving puzzles and learning new things, so my AI job is a nice stepping stone into the workforce. Outside of work, I also enjoy skiing, hiking, and playing trombone.
I started tutoring when I was a student at CMU in 2022 and I am so grateful to continue my tutoring journey with Upward Bound! I am a firm believer that, with enough time, patience, and practice, anyone can learn and excel in math.
