St. Mary's Medical Center Economic Impact

St. Mary’s Medical Center, now part of Intermountain Health, is an important part of Mesa County’s healthcare sector, a sector that is the largest contributor to the Mesa County economy. St. Mary’s Medical Center is the largest health care institution in Mesa County and the region. Mesa County and Grand Junction serve as the healthcare hub for Western Colorado and Eastern Utah.

Economic Impact of Non-Profits in Mesa County

Non-profit organizations play an important role in the Mesa County economy, and represent a diverse array of industries that contribute locally. The goal of this study is to determine the economic impact of non-profit 501(c)(3)s in Mesa County. The non-profit sector represents several types of industries, including healthcare and human services, arts, entertainment, and recreation, and other industries as detailed later in this report.
