Welcome to living and learning at Colorado Mesa University. For students living in a non-apartment style hall, you will be required to participate in one of our resident meal plans.

2024-2025 Residential Meal Plans

There are many advantages to our Resident Meal Plans.

• All you care to eat in The Caf. Just use your MAVcard ID to verify your plan and you are on your way.
• Choose from 3 meal plans that allow your day to begin at breakfast, 6:45am.
• The Caf is open 6:45am - 8:30pm Monday - Thursday; 6:45am - 8pm Friday; and 8am - 1:30pm for brunch and 5pm- 8pm for Dinner Saturdays and Sundays.
• MAVmoney per semester, added to the meal plans.
  • MAVmoney gives you the ability to grab a snack or meal at one of our many retail locations on campus and on the CMU Tech campus.
• Do you have a special dietary request? Talk with our Registered Dietician to make sure we have the selections for you!

The Unlimited - $5959

This price covers a full year, spanning from the start of the fall semester to the conclusion of the spring semester within the same calendar year.

Unlimited access to The Caf

• Monday-Thursday
  6:45am-8:30pm
• Friday
  6:45am-8:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday
  Brunch is served from 8am-1:30pm
  Dinner is served from 5:00pm-8:00pm
• This meal plan includes $200 of MAVmoney per semester.

The 17 - $5820 

This price covers a full year, spanning from the start of the fall semester to the conclusion of the spring semester within the same calendar year.

17 anytime meals per week in The Caf

• This meal plan includes $250 of MAVmoney per semester.
• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal

The 14 - $5542 

This price covers a full year, spanning from the start of the fall semester to the conclusion of the spring semester within the same calendar year.

14 anytime meals per week in The Caf

• This meal plan includes $300 of MAVmoney per semester.
• Visit us as many times during the day as you wish
  • One swipe / entry into The Caf = 1 Meal

Wingate and Aspen Residents 

If you will reside in an Aspen or Wingate hall, you are automatically enrolled into The WA plan. This plan includes 7 meals per week with no MAVmoney associated.

• This plan is not an option for residents outside of Wingate and Aspen halls, however, you may upgrade to any of the above meal plans!

*These meal plans must be purchased through the Residence Life Office.

Note: Spring Residential Meal Plans, MAVmoney from those plans, and any carried over from the most recent fall semester will expire at the end of the spring semester each year. 

Meal Transfers

You can use your Meal Plan Swipes as Meal Transfers at select locations across campus. Meal Transfers are available at Flat Top Grill located in the UC (from a select menu), and What The MAV? located in Tomlinson Library. Students on a Resident meal plan may use one meal transfer per day. Using a Meal Transfer on The 14 or The 17 does count towards one of your weekly meal swipes. You may not use a Meal Transfer if you have swiped in to the dining hall during that same meal period. 

For students living in the Walnut Ridge Apartments, North Avenue Apartments, Orchard Avenue Apartments or any other off campus residences, there are meal plans created just for you! Let us do the shopping, cooking, and cleaning for you! Plus, staying on campus for a snack or meal, you won't lose that "great" parking space you found during the day!

2024 -2025 MAV Meal Plans

There are many advantages to our MAV Meal Plans:

• All you care to eat in the dining hall. Visit us as many times during the day as you wish. Just use your MAVcard ID to verify your plan and you are on your way. Per meal cost is less than the average cash price at The Caf's door!
• MAVmoney is included with all meal plans listed below. MAVmoney gives you the ability to grab a snack at retail locations around campus and on the CMU Tech campus. 
• Dine when and where you want. We have options from 6:45am-11pm almost everyday!
• Let us help you save time by doing the shopping, cooking and cleaning for you! You will have more time to study.

MAV 20
20 anytime dining hall meals and $100 in MAVmoney which can be used at any of the campus dining locations.

MAV 40
40 anytime dining hall meals and $150 in MAVmoney which can be used at any of the campus dining locations.

MAV 80
80 anytime dining hall meals and $250 in MAVmoney which can be used at any of the campus dining locations.

*If you are a current CMU Student, these meal plans can be purchased in the MAVcard Office or by clicking here. If you are a parent, guardian, or family member of a CMU Student, you may make the purchase for your student by clicking here. All you need to know is the Student's CMU ID.

Looking for a quick meal? Don't want to lose your parking space? Ready for a value? Then one of these plans is for you. Let us take the guess work out of what to eat and cleaning up. Visit us at the Dining Hall in the University Center where you are sure to find a variety every day at every meal.

2024 - 2025 Faculty/Staff Meal Plans

Faculty/Staff 10 Meals
This includes 10 anytime meals in the dining hall. There is no MAVmoney attached to this plan.

Faculty/Staff 25 Meals
This includes 25 anytime meals in the dining hall. There is no MAVmoney attached to this plan.

Faculty/Staff 50 Meals
This includes 50 anytime meals in the dining hall. There is no MAVmoney attached to this plan.

Faculty/Staff may elect to pay for meal plans or MAVmoney using payroll deduction.  Payroll deductions are broken up over pay periods per semester.  To enroll click here.
