Once a student is admitted and enrolled at Colorado Mesa University, the student must obtain a MAVcard.

For students who are enrolled exclusively at the Montrose campus, may follow these steps to have their card delivered to the Montrose campus:

  • Log in to MAVzone, and find the MyPhotos App. You may need to click “All Apps” to locate it.
  • In the app, select Montrose for your “Group Affiliation.”
  • Follow the prompts to upload an appropriate MAVcard photo, and a picture of your license or other Government ID.
  • The MAVcard eform will pop up after you submit your photo. Please select the appropriate options, including the Montrose Campus check box, and click Submit at the bottom.

Next, from your Colorado Mesa University email account, send an email with the following information to: [email protected]

  • Subject Line: Montrose MAVcard Request
  • Your Name and 700#
  • A statement requesting to have your card sent to the Montrose Campus

Your MAVcard will be printed at the MAVcard office in Grand Junction, and mailed to Branscome Center on the Montrose Campus.

Please note that the MAVcard photo must meet very specific criteria to be approved.  The most commonly missed criteria are:

  1. Photos must be taken in front of a solid background.  No patterns or designs of any kind.
  2. Your hair cannot cover your eyes or obscure your face
  3. No hats or other head coverings are permitted.
  4. No tinted glasses.  Also, glare on the lenses of your glasses will cause your picture to be denied.
  5. You must face directly into the camera without tilting or turning your head.

Additional guidance and requirements will be presented as you access the MyPhoto software.

Once your card is complete, the MAVcard office will mail the card to the administrative staff in the Branscome Center at the Montrose campus.

There is no charge for Montrose students to receive their first MAVcard.  Students may come directly to the University Center on the main campus to have their card printed in person instead of requesting it via email.
