Official transcripts: Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited four-year institution.

Applicants must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the most recent 60 credit hours.

Recommendations - Candidates must submit two letters of recommendation as part of the application process.

Applicants may be required to take a graduate exam (within the 5 years prior to applying*) and achieve one of the following:
-
a score of 385 or higher on the Miller Analogies Test or
-
a score of 286 or higher on the Graduate Record Examination (850 on the old exam) (verbal and quantitative) or
-
a score of 650 on the GMAT

Please visit the CMU Testing Center website to register for and schedule to take any of these exams. Please note: The CMU Testing Center has limited dates and seat for the GRE, so register early. You may call or stop by the CMU Testing Center in person to register for and schedule a date for the Miller Analogies Test. The nearest testing centers to CMU for the GMAT are in Denver or Salt Lake City. If you are not local to CMU and Grand Junction, you can still visit the CMU Testing Center webpage for links to testing centers near you.

Students not satisfying the unconditional admission requirements may be conditionally admitted to the program pending satisfactory completion of all outstanding requirements as well as completing the first 12 semester hours with a 3.0 grade point average.
Students not satisfying conditional admission requirements will be dropped from the program for one calendar year, after which time the student must petition for readmission.
