CMU/CU Boulder Accommodation Services
Students registered for courses at CMU through the CMU/CU Boulder Engineering Partnership Program can still receive accommodations through Educational Access Services. Students with a disability or temporary medical condition may be provided accommodations for both CMU courses and CU Boulder courses in the partnership program.
Student Responsibilities
Step 1: Determine registration status with Educational Access Services:
Previously Registered with EAS: If you have already received accommodations through EAS for CMU courses, your first step is to notify EAS you want to use your accommodations for your registered CU Boulder courses.
Apply for Accommodations: If you have not received accommodations through EAS, before receiving reasonable accommodations for a documented disability, students must register with Educational Access Services (EAS) by completing the appropriate application. Once this has been completed, EAS will contact the student via MAVzone email to schedule an intake meeting to discuss the student's barriers and available support. During the application process, please inform EAS of your enrollment in the CMU/CU Boulder Engineering Program.
Step 2: Notify EAS of enrollment in CMU/CU Boulder Engineering Partnership Program:
You should have an accommodation listed under My Eligibility identifying you as part of the CMU/CU Boulder Engineering Program. IF YOU DO NOT, please contact EAS to inform them this affiliation should be added your AIM profile.
At the top of your landing page in AIM, is an [Bold:"Available Signup Sheet"]. Select the CMU/CU Boulder Engineering Program option and select Signup Now. This will need to be done each semester you wish to have accommodations sent to CU Boulder courses. Completing this Signup will notify EAS to begin adding your CU Boulder courses to your AIM profile.
Step 3: Sending Accommodations to Faculty
Once you have been notified that your CU Boulder courses have been manually added to AIM, you will need to submit an accommodation request for your courses. This is done through the same means as CMU courses. Instructions for sending accommodations can be found on the AIM Enrolled Students page of the EAS website.
