Empowering CMU Wrestling Through Giving

Community spirit and Maverick pride shine as ProSpace Interiors present $12,500 check to CMU wrestling during Battle in Brownson.

The annual Battle in Brownson is more than a wrestling match; it’s a celebration of rivalry, community and Maverick pride. Held inside Brownson Arena, this event brings together students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members for a night of intense competition and camaraderie.

This year’s Battle in Brownson saw the Mavericks take on the Western Colorado Mountaineers in an intense wrestling showdown. The atmosphere was electric, with packed stands roaring in support of the action on the mat.

One of the highlights of the evening was the generous gift from ProSpace Interiors. During intermission, ProSpace president Dave Huerkamp presented a $12,500 check to the men’s wrestling program. He was joined on the mat by CMU Head Men’s Wrestling Coach Mike Mendoza and Vice President of Development and CEO of the CMU Foundation Robin Brown. The funds are designated for a wrestling scholarship, providing significant support to the students, allowing them to further their development on the team as athletes.

ProSpace Interiors is a full-service commercial office and healthcare furniture store, local to the community. They specialize in working with clients to create customized workspace solutions for various industries including business, healthcare, education and government.

Above ProSpace’s dedication to providing tailored solutions to the community, allowing local businesses to thrive, this gift to CMU wrestling solidifies their commitment to CMU and the community.
