This report presents the results of a focus group study of visitor recreational outcomes and preferences of the Bears Ears National Monument in southeastern Utah. The study was conducted in 2023. The study is part of a national research effort conducted by the Public Lands Recreation Research Partnership.
This report presents the results of a six year long focus group study to establish a recreational baseline for Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and surrounding public lands in southern Utah and northern Arizona. It compares results from the four phases of data collection (404 participants in 63 focus groups) considering recreation and connection to place in various parts of the study area.
