Colorado Mesa University's Voice Area cultivates the next generation of music leaders, fostering vocal versatility rooted in artistic authenticity. Voice students can anticipate a comprehensive exploration of diverse vocal styles, encompassing both acoustic and amplified genres. Each voice studio is equipped with a microphone and amplifier, providing students with opportunities to cultivate microphone techniques. Recent student vocal recitals have showcased extensive repertoire, featuring classical art songs, opera arias, original songs/student compositions, jazz, musical theater, mariachi, and commercial styles. Our various vocal ensembles serve as dynamic platforms for students to delve into and excel across these multifaceted musical genres, fostering a rich and well-rounded musical education.
