PA's, DO's, MD's, CNM's, APRN's, and Licensed Psychologists are eligible to serve as preceptors.
Agencies can personalize the student selection process to align with your recruitment needs and values.
CMU offers stipends and benefits for precepting.
Primary care providers who practice in a rural or frontier area for 4 or more weeks are eligible for a $1000 Colorado state tax credit.

Clinical Opportunities

The CMU Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) Program is seeking qualified individuals (PA, MD, DO, APRN's, CNM's) to serve as Adjunct Faculty-Preceptors. To apply, please complete the CMU MPAS Program Preceptor Intent Form.

Adjunct Clinical Preceptor Position

Preceptors interested in compensation must commit to supervising, coordinating, onboarding, educating, and evaluating 3 clinical students per year for a minimum of 36 hours per week. Rotations are 2 or 4 weeks in duration, depending on the course. $100 a week per student ($400 per 4-week rotation, $200 per 2-week rotation).

Adjunct Faculty Clinical Preceptor Application

Adjunct Clinical Preceptors must commit to precepting three students a year to receive compensation.

Note the clinical year is June to May every year.
