Requesting Accommodated Exams in EAS
All exams or quizzes needing to be taken in EAS for accommodations purposes require a request through AIM.
Students are required to submit an Exam Request for any assessment to be taken in EAS at least 2 business days prior to the testing date. Exams must be completed within business hours, M-F 8am to 5pm, unless the professor makes other arrangements.

Exams longer than 50 minutes will need to be taken earlier to finish by 5pm. Quizzes shorter than 50 minutes can be taken after 3:30pm, but still need to be completed by 5pm. Evening classes will require the student to make arrangements with the professor for testing the day after the typical exam date.
Exceptions to start times can be arranged, but students should work with EAS and the professor to determine alternative testing times.
- If possible, arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled test time. This allows time for the proctor to check you in and disseminate exam-related information. Please be patient as the proctor checks in other students and wait outside of EAS if the lobby contains more than 3 students.
- Arrive prepared to start your exam with exam-related materials (calculator, pen/pencil, Scranton, blue book, etc.). Students may be responsible for bringing auxiliary material such as scantrons and blue books; check with instructors for what is provided to the class and plan accordingly.
- Personal belongings should be stowed in the EAS lobby in designated areas.
- Unauthorized items in the testing area may include, but are not limited to: backpacks, cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, earbuds, purses, coats/jackets, and reference materials.
- To ask clarifying questions to your instructor, go to the front desk staff
- If you need help with assistive technology, go to the front desk staff
- Notify front desk staff of any technical issues
- Students will be provided a 10 minute warning for end of testing time, this can be declined during check in
- There is always a clock in the testing area, but it may be behind you
- Put exam back in the folder along with any other items to be submitted (scratch paper, Scranton, resource pages, etc.)
- No information/papers are allowed to leave with the student unless authorized by the instructor
- Return all testing items to the front desk staff (borrowed materials, testing folder, etc.) - nothing should remain at your testing station
- Typed material to be printed should be left open on the computer and front desk staff should be notified
- Exams will be returned to instructor on behalf of student
