Class Attendance
Research shows that attending college classes is directly related to class performance and grades. That's why CMU requires attendance as a matter of policy. Most of your psychology classes will track attendance as part of your grade. Some may have specific attendance minimums that will be required of you.
Study Strategies
Your psychology professors won't read to you from your textbooks. So, when it comes to books, expect to need them, read them, and develop study strategies to help you understand and apply what you read. If you have concerns about this, feel free to talk to any of your faculty; we're prepared to help you with resources and study assistance.

Some of your classes require presentations as a final project. Presentations build communication skills that employers value.
