Clifton Fire Protection District Donates Ambulance to CMU Tech’s EMS Program

The Clifton Fire Protection District recently donated an ambulance to CMU Tech’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program, giving students a major boost in hands-on training as they prepare for careers in emergency response.

The new ambulance replaces an older model the program had been using for years. Students are already putting it to good use, and instructors say it's making a noticeable difference.

“This is a huge upgrade for our students,” said Pam Holder, Allied Health and Paramedic Program director. “Training with equipment like this before stepping into the field is very valuable.”

The ambulance comes equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including a power cot, allowing students to familiarize themselves with the same tools they’ll rely on as professional paramedics and emergency medical technicians.

The program's students and faculty are excited about the addition, which they know will better prepare them for what’s ahead.

“We’re so grateful for the Clifton Fire Protection District and their board of directors for making this happen,” Holder said. “This donation helps our students graduate with the confidence and experience they need to be street-ready and save lives.”

CMU Tech’s EMS Program is built to prepare students for fast-paced, high-stakes careers in emergency medical services. With the addition of the new ambulance, students will be even better equipped to step into their roles with minimal additional training, ready to make an impact in their communities.
