CMU celebrates the grand opening of the Adult Learning Center at the Clifton Branch of Mesa County Libraries
The grand opening of the Adult Learning Center at the Clifton Branch of Mesa County Libraries on Thursday, October 3, 2024, marked the evolution of an already fruitful partnership between Mesa County Libraries and Colorado Mesa University (CMU). The event, attended by members of CMU Tech, the CMU Foundation, Mesa Country Libraries staff and the Clifton community, celebrated the center's mission to provide adult learners with pathways to further education and personal growth.
With a mix of open-house activities and brief remarks, the gathering highlighted the center’s role in empowering individuals to achieve their GEDs and pursue higher education, whether that be a certificate, two or four-year degree.
Looking ahead to 2025, this collaboration is expected to expand as the Adult Learning Center helps bridge the gap between adult learners and advanced educational opportunities at CMU. By offering resources and support, the center will be a key stepping stone for individuals seeking an opportunity for a better life.
In collaboration with CMU, the center stands as a testament to the power of community partnerships and the shared commitment to creating brighter futures through education. It's a promise of hope for adult learners as they move forward with resilience and courage, embracing these new opportunities.
