CMU Civic Forum presents a discussion on the Cold War Part II: Analyzing Today's Russia
Robert Baer has been all over the world, from Lebanon to Tajikistan, working in one of our nation’s most elusive fields. Baer served as a Central Intelligence Agent for over 20 years, most of which was spent in the Middle East. He received the agency's highest award, the Career Intelligence Medal, for his work as an agent. He has since written numerous books, four of which landed on the New York Times Bestsellers list. His memoir, "See No Evil," was adapted into the movie "Syriana." George Clooney, who played Baer, received an Oscar for his performance. A British documentary series Baer hosted, "The Cult of the Suicide Bomber," was nominated for an Emmy award.
Currently, Baer is an intelligence and security analyst for CNN and has been a contributor for TIME, Vanity Fair, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. His newest book is a non-fiction account of a KGB spy in the CIA under Putin.
CMU is excited to welcome Baer to the Montrose campus for a fascinating discussion titled, Cold War Part II: Analyzing Today's Russia. Join us for a free event on Tuesday, May 3 at 6:30pm in Cascade Hall. Space is limited. Reserve your spot at coloradomesa.edu/civic-forum.
