Swire Coca-Cola partnership continues to grow
On January 29, CMU and Swire Coca-Cola celebrated their partnership at the Blizzard in Brownson basketball games.
The stands were packed with students and fans of all ages while they upheld the annual tradition by wearing white as they cheered on the Mavericks. Similar to past events, Rowdy, the university’s mascot, and the famous Coca-cola bear were in attendance.
Each year Coca-Cola supports CMU student-athletes through scholarships, and this year $10,000 was awarded to four CMU student-athletes from five different programs, including football, basketball, women’s wrestling, swimming and baseball.
During the halftime of the men’s game, representatives from Coca-Cola joined Colorado Mesa University President John Marshall and CMU Athletic Director Bryan Rooks to celebrate this year’s Coca-Cola Scholars.
Heather Guzzardo, the Coca Cola marketing assets and activation manager, attended the game with colleagues Kelly Rowley and Ron Kovach.
The annual basketball game is just one event that represents the flourishing partnership between CMU and Swire Coca-Cola.
