While this is not his first semester on campus, it is his first as president. John Marshall became the 11th president of Colorado Mesa University in July 2021. The first few months have been a learning experience and he is optimistic about the future of CMU, our region and country.
In this conversation, we discuss what makes western Colorado unique, how to make a difference in the world and a university's responsibility on bridging the divide in our country. President Marshall shares about how he met his wife, Linde, while attending CMU as an undergraduate. We dig into why it is so important to be honest and transparent, why at CMU we continue to have challenging conversations, and why the arts and career and technical education play an important role in our society. This is one conversation you don't want to miss. Listen now or wherever you get your podcasts.
