Mo LaMee and the 2019-20 Theatre and Dance Season
Assistant Professor of Acting/Directing Mo LaMee speaks about the upcoming 50th anniversary theatre and dance season. The 2019 productions include theatre performances First Date, Pride and Prejudice, Fiddler on the Roof and The Wolves. There will also be two dance performances; one in the fall and one in the spring.
LaMee teaches beginning through advanced acting and directing classes as well as several other theatre-related courses. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Loretto Heights College and went on to earn his Master of Fine Arts in Acting at the National Theatre Conservatory. In 2011, LaMee was named Colorado’s “Theatre Person of the Year” by The Denver Post and more recently directed the world premiere production of Sharr White’s Stupid Kid and Penelope Skinner’s Linda.

Instructor of History Tim Winegard, PhD, speaks about his newest book. The book is noted as “A pioneering and groundbreaking work of narrative nonfiction that offers a dramatic new perspective on the history of humankind, showing how through millennia, the mosquito has been the single most powerful force in determining humanity’s fate.” Winegard’s work includes favorable reviews from the New York Times, the Atlantic, NPR and numerous additional national and international publications.
Winegard received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Western Ontario and his Bachelor of Education in History and English from Nipissing University. Winegard went on to earn his Master of Arts in War Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada and his PhD in history from the University of Oxford. His other publications include The First World Oil War and Oka: A Convergence of Cultures and the Canadian Forces. Arriving at CMU in 2012 from his native Canada, he is also the head coach of the CMU men's hockey team.
Head Football Coach Russ Martin
The CMU Football Team and coaches have been busy this summer and preseason. Coach Martin speaks about the hard work the team has been putting into the preseason, changes on the team and what fans can expect for this season. The season opener is at South Dakota Mines on September 7 with the first home game vs. Eastern New Mexico University on September 14.
Coach Martin is entering his 8th season as head coach of the Colorado Mesa football team. He has 40 years of coaching experience, six at the high school level and 33 at the collegiate level. Prior to joining the CMU staff he served as offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Nebraska-Kearney for eight years. Coach Martin played football at Chadron State where he earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education with a minor in business administration and a coaching endorsement. He also earned a master’s degree in secondary education.
