In January 2020, Patricia “Patti” Milius officially donated her much-loved cookbook collection to Colorado Mesa University’s Tomlinson Library. Totaling over 2,500 items dating back to 1860, the collection spans regions from the American Southwest to French Cuisine; bridges all manner of baking, from crepes to cookies; and figures specialized titles from the collectible to the Colorado-centric. This collection also contains a wealth of community-created cookbooks with which she felt a special connection, as a founding member of the Junior Service League of Grand Junction, through which she worked on the West of the Rockies…From Campfire to Candlelight cookbook. Tomlinson Library is thrilled to be the recipient of this exciting donation, particularly as we share the donor’s love for and investment in the culinary arts within our Grand Valley.
