The FAFSA goes off of your current marital status. If you are married as of the day you fill out the FAFSA, you would mark that you are married. This also applies to your parents' marital status.For example, the FAFSA used your prior-prior tax year's information and you weren't married then. However, you are currently married. You would, therefore, mark your marital status as "Married."
