You will need to provide the following information: 

  • Your social security number (or Alien Registration Number for non-US citizens). 
  • An FSA ID to sign electronically.
  • You will be able to transfer their federal tax return information into their FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. 
  • If you are a dependent student, then you will have to invite your parent(s) to contribute their information to the FAFSA by entering your parent's social security number and email address. Your parent must have an FSA ID created to be a contributor. 
  • If you are currently married, then you will have to invite your spouse to contribute their information to the FAFSA by entering the spouse's social security number and email address. The spouse must have an FSA ID created to be a contributor.
