Answer:
Once a FAFSA is submitted, the information is processed by the Department of Education. Then, the institutions you listed on the FAFSA will be notified and begin the process of awarding aid. This can take 3-5 days.
If there are no outstanding requirements or all requirements have been satisfied, your financial aid award is packaged and viewable in MAVzone.
Outstanding requirements
Students may be selected for a verification or may have other flags (requirements). If this happens, students are notified within MAVzone.
Students will need to submit necessary documents to resolve outstanding requirements. Then, a Financial Aid Counselor reviews documents, makes corrections on the student’s FAFSA if necessary and then satisfies the requirements with an “S”.
