Answer:

Work study programs (Also known as MAVworks) provide funding for qualifying students to work part-time in a variety of on-campus jobs.

The redesigned 2024-2025 FAFSA/CASFA no longer asks students, “Are you interested in work study?” This will mean that students can no longer be automatically considered for work study funding and must apply for work study instead.

You can begin looking for on campus jobs using the Handshake app in MAVzone at any time. Your MAVworks application does not have to be approved for you to submit a job application (just be sure to indicate on your application that you have applied/plan to apply to MAVworks).

Students offered MAVworks in Fall will have funding for the full school year. Students offered MAVworks in Spring will have funding for the Spring semester.

The MAVworks application opens August 1 for Fall and January 1 for Spring
