If you are financial aid ineligible due to not meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements, you may appeal your ineligibility status. You can complete a form depending on what type of aid you are wanting to appeal:
- Federal Loans/Grants: Financial Aid Ineligibility Appeal Form
- CMU Scholarships: Scholarship Appeal Form
These forms will request additional documentation depending on the reason for ineligibility:
If you are ineligible due to low pass rate or GPA, you will be required to submit supporting documentation demonstrating an extenuating circumstance or an Academic Success Plan (which can be completed with an IRIS Advisor).
If you are ineligible due to meeting your credit limits, you will need to work with your Faculty Advisor to complete and submit a signed graduation plan.
