T. Troy Salazar became a Paramedic in 2000 after 18 years of hotel and restaurant management, starting his career as a paid Emergency Medical Technician volunteer in Moab, UT. Salazar is currently certified as a National Registered Paramedic in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona. He is also Flight Paramedic certified and works with Eagle Air Med.
Salazar has served as a ground paramedic for 12 years, part-time flight paramedic for 7 years, full-time flight paramedic for 5 years and in all levels of EMS education for 14 years.
His courses include lecture, simulation, travel, videos, research and hands-on experience. Students are strongly encouraged to "get their hands dirty" when learning how to take care of patients.
