Originally from New Hampshire, Steve Gould started his secondary education at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. After years of working in restaurants to pay tuition, he found his calling in the kitchen and transferred to culinary school. In 2005, he earned an Associate of Occupational Studies in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts from Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon.
Steve has lived in Grand Junction with his wife since 2006. When he is not in the kitchen, he enjoys cycling, camping, and showing and competing with his two Pembroke Welsh Corgis. In addition to teaching, Steve also works with the CMU Cycling team, traveling to national championship races to assist with the nutrition requirements for the student athletes.
With over 30 years of experience in the restaurant business, Steve has worked in various disciplines including fine dining, catering and healthcare. Now teaching at CMU Tech, his mission is to cultivate strong, passionate and skilled chefs to uphold the rich traditions of the culinary field.
