Rhonda Johnson teaches courses for the High School Tech Scholar Program. Those courses include Managing Office Technology, Social Media for Business, Workplace Behavior, Principles of Marketing, Intro to Customer Service, Business Basics and Principles of Management.
In her classroom, she tries to incorporate a variety of techniques to engage students. Some techniques include class discussions, case studies, group projects, team building activities, guest speakers from local businesses, individual course-related assignments and critical thinking business-related writing assignments.
By implementing different techniques in the classroom, Johnson is able to find connections with all students. She also brings real-life scenarios to the classroom and encourages critical thinking. Johnson firmly believes in teaching ethical decision making and incorporates it in much of her teaching.
