Carolyn Ferreira-Lillo received an associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Queensborough Community College and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from City College of New York and earn her Master of Science in Technology System Management from State University of New York-Stony Brook. She teaches Career Math, Technical Mathematics, Introduction to Process Technology, Safety, Health and Environment, Electronics, Applied Physics, Quality in Process Technology and Introduction to IT Hardware and System Software.
All of the courses she teaches are based on real world application in the form of theory application in building circuits, in the laboratory environment and in project development. Students analyze systems, then build using industry test equipment. The process is research, design, build and finally test. Students learn all aspects of projects, and all of this knowledge relates to the real world application. Much of the information that she teaches is cross functional between physics, mathematics, Electronics I, Electronics II and Computer Application. Students learn how it is applied in all areas of industry and in everyday life.
