Allison is the instructor and Program Director for the Pharmacy Technician Program at CMU Tech.
Before joining the faculty at CMU Tech, she worked in the community pharmacy industry beginning in 1993. She started out as a pharmacy cashier and ended her 21-year career in the field as a pharmacy support specialist. She has been a nationally certified pharmacy technician since 1998. She discovered her passion for teaching when she began to teach pharmacy employees review classes that helped them prepare to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam, so she returned to college to get her master's degree in education, with an emphasis in secondary science. She is excited to share her knowledge and experience with future generations of pharmacy technicians as they begin their careers in health care.
Allison is a member of the Colorado Pharmacist Society, the American Pharmacists Association, the Health Science Educator's Association, and is a volunteer advocate for Donor Alliance.
She has lived in Grand Junction most of her life and enjoys all things pertaining to the outdoors. In her free time, she loves to camp, hike, bike, paddleboard, do yoga, go to concerts, and travel, while joined by her husband, children, and 3 dogs.
