Mike Tindall has worked in the fire and emergency medical services (EMS) field for the past 23 years. He began as a volunteer with the Olathe Fire Protection District before transitioning to a full-time career as a firefighter and EMT-I with the Montrose Fire Protection District. He currently serves as a fire prevention specialist and public educator under the Fire Marshal's Office.
As an instructor for the Emergency Medical Responder program, Tindall aims to introduce students to the world of professional EMS. This is the first step toward earning nationally recognized certifications that lay the foundation for continued education and skill development. His goal is to equip students with essential first aid skills that will serve them as lifelong life skills regardless of whether they pursue a career in EMS.
Tindall recognizes the value of training homegrown professionals—local residents with deep ties to the communities they serve. He hopes to inspire students by demonstrating that a career as a first responder can be both fulfilling and long-lasting.
