Keith Laube has 17 years of experience as a design and consulting engineer, including starting and operating an engineering company. After being a consulting engineer, Mr. Laube served 14 years in local government as a Public Works Director for a city and for a county.
Laube has been teaching at CMU since 2020. He has taught accounting, mathematics and geology. He enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge with his students.
He has been involved in community bands, choirs and theaters, a ski club and various musical groups. He is currently a member of the Montrose Community Band, Valley Symphony Association Choir and periodically is an actor at Magic Circle Players Theater. When not busy with music and theater, Mr. Laube can be found training and competing in triathlons.
Laube believes each student has a unique learning style. Presenting information in different ways helps students understand concepts for their learning style. He links classroom learning with student work and life experiences. He incorporates student projects that a student can relate to while learning how classroom concepts are applied in the working world. Laube believes it is important for students to know how classroom material will be used in careers and life.
Learning is a lifelong journey. Mr. Laube wants to provide students with skills so they will be successful in their careers and life. Learning math and business is not only important for careers, but also key to a successful personal life.
